A very warm welcome to E.I.C.H. Ireland, a hypnotherapy course provider based in the West of Ireland. E.I.C.H. Ireland is a school approved by the APHP, the NRPC, the IHR, the CPHA and the GHSC and many more registers, is owned by founder Laura McDonald, a clinical hypnotherapist with 14 years experience in her field, and it offers YOU the opportunity to train as a hypnotherapist, showing you how to set up your very own practice whether that be full-time or part-time, in a career that you will find enlightening, intriguing and very rewarding.

E.I.C.H. Ireland teaches the original, highly-regarded Essex Institute course which was launched in1999 and has now been studied by thousands of people across the world from Australia to Greenland, in Asia and the middle and far East, and is the only school in Ireland that is licensed by the originator, Terence Watts, to teach it. Training as a hypnotherapist can be one of the most rewarding things one may do. It doesn't just give you the tools to start a wonderful new career; it is a journey of personal growth and development and you will continue to learn things about yourself and the human mind throughout, and beyond. Our course is spread over 10 months, so fits in well with both work and family life, as do the homework assignments, without you having to feel you need to give something up in order to study. For course dates, please click here.

The Professional Practitioner Course is a fully professional training and complies with the National Core Curriculum for Hypnotherapy training schools, on which the National Occupation Standards for Hypnotherapy is based. It was devised and written by the principal of the Essex Institute UK, Terence Watts, and is based on his many thousands of hours of successful work with hypnosis, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. The course is already taught in other countries around the world including various schools in England, and Australia and Germany.

Course Outline

The course is spread over 10 weekends, 1 weekend a month. These classes will provide you with all the skills you need to work as a professional hypnotherapist, helping people to stop smoking, lose weight, cope with stress, anxiety and phobias... and a whole lot more. View dates here.

The classes include a great deal of practice which is supervised by your tutor so that by the time you qualify, getting people safely in and out of hypnosis is completely natural to you. There are assignments associated with each class as well, that will help you to absorb the theory and understanding of the use of hypnosis and hypnotherapy at deep enough level that you will feel as if you have had this knowledge for many years. Classes will be taught to you by Laura McDonald, a clinical hypnotherapist with 15 years experience in the field of hypnosis.

The course materials are extensive and include all required course books and materials, exam and assignment assessment fees, lifetime free access to ongoing support by fax/email/telephone, and extra first-class resource materials. You do not need any previous experience in this type of work - we assume you know nothing about the world of therapy and we take you from the very beginning to fully qualified professional therapist. If you have an interest in people, you will easily complete this course and will enjoy every moment of it.
